The International Seminar Rediscovering the Landscape from a Local Perspective, that will be held in the Casal Marià, in the city of Olot (Girona) on 26th and 27th September 2013. The seminar is organised by the Landscape Observatory of Catalonia, with the collaboration of the Government of Andorra.
Today, we are facing a paradigm shift that requires new forms of local governance and forces us to reflect on the relevance and validity of some instruments and strategies upon which landscape policies on this scale have been based. Thus, the aim of this seminar is to learn more about and share some of the most interesting experiences in the field of landscape on the local scale in Catalonia and in Europe. Besides, during the seminar there will be a presentation of the document “Instruments de planificació del paisatge amb incidència en el planejament local a Europa” (Landscape planning tools with incidence in local planning in Europe), prepared with the collaboration of the Government of Andorra, as well as of a website specialised on landscape and local world.
